Visas
All foreigners (except Indian nationals) require an Indian visa

Travel to Delhi
We’ve made everything really easy – you just need to
organize flights from your destination to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, where your driver will meet you and take you to your connecting flight to Srinigar, the capital of Kashmir. You should not speak to anyone other than your driver, he will have your details and will be holding up your name. Payment is included in your package, but you can tip him if you like. Ignore anyone else who tries to help. They will ask for cash... which you’re free to shell out if you’re feeling philanthropic.

The night before you leave for Delhi, call your airline and tell them you have sports equipment (i.e. skis/board bag) and they will not count it towards your baggage allowance, best thing is to make a habit of check your allowance for sporting equipment every time you jump on the big bird.
Arrival
It’s best to arrive in Delhi early in the morning.
The connecting flight is timed so that you arrive in Srinigar in daylight, ensuring that you will be in your hotel that evening even if there are weather delays. All flights to Srinigar are booked with Kingfisher Airlines and Jet Airways, reputable international airlines, so you can rest assured that delays are minimal and safety isn’t a concern.
Dal Lake
All our Kashamir holiday packages include one night in a
houseboat on Dal Lake in Srinigar on your return journey. If weather conditions cause delays from Gulmarg to Srinigar, you won’t risk missing your flights. Plus, Dal Lake is awesome and staying in a houseboat, as well as seeing the local culture, is a great experience, so you won’t be disappointed.
